About Spy×Family

The Spy×Family anime is based on Tatsuya Endō’s hit manga serialised in Shueisha’s Shonen Jump+ since 2019. The series follows Twilight, a master spy tasked with an impossible mission—posing as a family man to infiltrate an elite academy. To do so, he adopts the alias Loid Forger and forms a fake family with Yor, an assassin posing as his wife, and Anya, a telepathic girl who can read minds.

Together, the trio juggles domestic life and secret missions, often leading to hilarious and heartfelt moments.

Viz Media publishes the manga in English both digitally and in print, while Shueisha also simul-publishes new chapters on its MANGA Plus platform.

Previous Seasons and Adaptations

The anime’s first season premiered in April 2022, split into two parts (Spring and Fall 2022), and was followed by a 12-episode second season in October 2023.

The franchise also expanded into film with Spy×Family Code: White, which debuted in Japan in December 2023 and was a major box office success.

Additionally, the story has been adapted into stage musicals, with the first running from March to May 2023, and a second production scheduled from September through December 2025.

What’s Next: The Bus Hijacking Arc

The upcoming Bus Hijacking Arc marks one of the most intense storylines in the series so far. Centred around a high-stakes hostage crisis involving Anya Forger and her classmates, the arc blends tension, action, and emotional depth — showcasing the brilliance of Endō’s storytelling.

Fans can expect heightened suspense, deeper character development, and beautifully animated sequences when the arc kicks off on November 8.

With new creative leadership, returning fan-favourite characters, and a beloved manga arc finally brought to life, Spy×Family Season 3 is shaping up to be one of the most exciting instalments in the series yet.
