The event also introduced a new character named Sai, who will appear during the anime’s final arc. Further details about the character’s role in the story have not yet been disclosed.

The final season originally premiered on January 9, debuting on Tokyo MX before expanding to other Japanese broadcasters, including BS11, Sun TV, KBS Kyoto, and TV Aichi. It was also launched simultaneously across multiple Japanese streaming platforms, including ABEMA, Amazon Prime Video, Disney+, and DMM TV.

Internationally, Crunchyroll continues to stream the series across North America, Latin America, Europe, Africa, Oceania, the Middle East, and CIS regions. The platform is also offering a same-day English dub alongside the Japanese broadcast.

Several new cast members were previously announced for the final season, including Kenji Nojima as Dr Xeno and Kōji Yusa as Stanley Snyder, alongside Mariko Higashiuchi, Akira Sekine, Chiharu Sawashiro, Taishi Murata, Hiroki Yasumoto, Minami Hinata, Megumi Han, and Reigo Yamaguchi.

The Dr. Stone anime franchise began in July 2019, quickly gaining attention for its unique blend of science, adventure, and post-apocalyptic storytelling. Subsequent seasons and specials included Dr Stone: Stone Wars in 2021, the Ryusui special in 2022, and Dr Stone: New World, which aired across 2023.

The anime is based on the manga created by Riichirou Inagaki and illustrated by Boichi. The manga debuted in Weekly Shonen Jump in March 2017 and concluded in March 2022. It is available in English through Viz Media and MANGA Plus.

With its final cour now scheduled, Dr. Stone is preparing to bring its story of scientific revival and human ingenuity to a close in 2026, ending a journey that has spanned nearly a decade across manga and anime.
