Capcom has announced that its latest title, Pragmata, has sold more than 1 million units worldwide within just two days of release. The figure, confirmed on April 20, highlights a strong debut for the company’s new science fiction franchise.

According to Capcom, the milestone does not yet include sales from the upcoming Nintendo Switch 2 version in select regions, including Japan and other parts of Asia, where the game is scheduled to launch on April 24.

The success of Pragmata adds to what has been a notable year for the publisher. In March, Resident Evil Requiem exceeded expectations, shipping 5 million copies in under a week and later reaching 6 million units.

Capcom’s recent lineup also includes Monster Hunter Stories 3, adding to a diverse portfolio spanning multiple genres and audiences.

Expanding Portfolio of Franchises

The company’s release schedule suggests momentum will likely continue. Capcom is preparing to revive the Onimusha franchise with Way of the Sword, expected to launch in 2026, although a specific release date has not yet been confirmed.

Looking further ahead, the developer is also working on future entries in long-standing series such as Mega Man and Okami, with releases anticipated in 2027 and beyond.

In addition to its commercial performance, Pragmata has received positive early impressions, with critics highlighting its gameplay and presentation. Combined with Capcom’s other recent releases.
