The story that began in WandaVision is officially continuing. After the emotional chaos of WandaVision in 2021 and the supernatural fallout explored in Agatha All Along (previously referred to as Agatha Ever After), Marvel Studios is preparing the next chapter centered on the fractured family of Wanda Maximoff and Vision.

The upcoming Disney+ series, VisionQuest, now has an official premiere date: October 14, 2026.

Positioned as the third and possibly final installment in this interconnected storyline, the series is expected to dive deeper into Vision’s identity, the fate of Wanda’s children, and the lingering consequences of grief, memory, and artificial life within the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Paul Bettany is officially returning as White Vision, the reconstructed android introduced in the final episodes of WandaVision.

Unlike the emotionally complex Vision created by Wanda inside Westview, White Vision is the original synthezoid body rebuilt by the government after the events of Avengers: Infinity War. Initially stripped of emotion and memory, the character regained his past experiences after encountering Wanda’s recreated Vision.

After recovering those memories, he mysteriously disappeared—leaving fans wondering where he went and what kind of being he had become.

VisionQuest is finally set to answer those questions.

Elizabeth Olsen’s Scarlet Witch Still Unconfirmed

One major mystery remains: the return of Elizabeth Olsen as Wanda Maximoff / Scarlet Witch.

Marvel has not officially confirmed her involvement in the series.

The character was last seen in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, where Mount Wundagore collapsed on top of her after she destroyed every copy of the Darkhold across the multiverse. Although many fans believe Wanda survived, Marvel has deliberately kept her fate ambiguous.

Given VisionQuest’s direct connection to Wanda’s family, however, speculation around her appearance continues to grow.

Full Cast for VisionQuest

Marvel is assembling a surprisingly large cast of returning characters and new additions for the series.

Tommy Maximoff

Ruaridh Mollica will portray Tommy Maximoff, also known as Speed, one of Wanda and Vision’s twin sons.

Tommy’s inclusion strongly suggests the series will continue exploring Wanda’s magically created children after the events of Agatha All Along, which focused heavily on Billy Maximoff, also known as Wiccan.

Ultron Returns

James Spader is returning as Ultron, the villain first introduced in Avengers: Age of Ultron.

His return is especially intriguing given Ultron’s deep connection to Vision’s origin story. Since Vision was originally intended to become Ultron’s perfect synthetic body, the series may revisit unresolved themes surrounding AI consciousness, identity, and control.

Raza and the Ten Rings

Faran Tahir will reprise his role as Raza, the leader of the Ten Rings faction first seen in Iron Man (2008).

This marks the character’s first major MCU appearance in years.

The Ten Rings organization has evolved significantly since its debut:

  • It was manipulated by the fake Mandarin in Iron Man 3
  • Then properly reintroduced in Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings

Raza’s return could hint at deeper technological or global conspiracies tied to Vision and synthetic intelligence.

New Characters Joining the MCU

Marvel is also introducing several fresh faces to the series.

Paladin

Todd Stashwick joins as Paladin, a well-known Marvel bounty hunter and mercenary.

Jocasta

T’Nia Miller will portray Jocasta, another AI-related Marvel character with strong ties to Ultron in the comics.

Her inclusion could become one of the series’ most important story elements.

EDITH

Emily Hampshire joins as EDITH, likely connected to the advanced AI system introduced in the Spider-Man films.

FRIDAY

Orla Brady will play FRIDAY, Tony Stark’s AI assistant that succeeded JARVIS.

MCU AI Characters Return

The series also appears ready to embrace Marvel’s long history of artificial intelligence and robotic systems.

Returning characters include:

  • DUM-E, played by Henry Lewis
  • U, played by Jonathan Sayer
  • JARVIS, once again portrayed by James D’Arcy

Fans will remember JARVIS from:

  • Agent Carter
  • Avengers: Endgame

This heavy focus on AI characters suggests VisionQuest may become one of Marvel’s most technology-driven Disney+ series to date.

Recap of Vision’s MCU Journey

Vision’s story began in Avengers: Age of Ultron, when Ultron attempted to create the perfect artificial body for himself. After the Avengers intervened, Thor helped bring the synthezoid to life using the Mind Stone.

Over time, Vision developed humanity, emotion, and compassion.

In Captain America: Civil War, his relationship with Wanda Maximoff deepened as the Avengers fractured. Their romance continued into Infinity War, where Vision became a primary target because of the Mind Stone embedded in his forehead.

Thanos ultimately killed him to claim the stone.

Vision’s death became the emotional foundation of WandaVision.

Unable to process her grief, Wanda subconsciously created:

  • A new version of Vision
  • Twin sons Billy and Tommy
  • An entire false suburban reality inside Westview

Meanwhile, the government rebuilt Vision’s original body as White Vision—a weaponized version stripped of emotion and memories.

After regaining his memories during a confrontation with Wanda’s Vision, White Vision vanished, leaving his future unresolved.
