The Witcher 4, currently known as Project Polaris, is officially in development, but CD Projekt Red has kept details under wraps. However, a recent leak might have revealed a potential new character for the highly-anticipated game.

It’s been nearly a decade since the release of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, where players fell in love with Geralt of Rivia, the gruff yet kind-hearted protagonist. Following its success, CD Projekt Red released two significant expansions, Hearts of Stone and Blood and Wine, which were widely praised. Additionally, Netflix adapted the series into a hit TV show, further cementing its place in pop culture.

While the games have deviated from Andrzej Sapkowski’s original book series, it’s clear that transforming the story into an RPG was a brilliant move, creating a dedicated fanbase. The fourth installment is on the way, with early development underway. Despite limited information, fans are eagerly speculating about what’s to come.

A recent post on r/GamingLeaksAndRumours might offer a glimpse into the future cast. According to the leak, actor Jake Lampert seems set to join The Witcher 4 as a character named Branko, potentially beginning motion capture work next year. The source links to Lampert’s profile, which lists this as his first video game role, alongside previous appearances in U.K. television, Star Wars: Andor, and the film Last Christmas.

Interestingly, there isn’t an established character named Branko in The Witcher universe, leaving fans to speculate on how he might fit into the storyline. Despite the mystery, the reception has been positive, with many saying Lampert looks like he could easily belong in the world of The Witcher.

As development progresses, fans are excited to learn more about Project Polaris, hoping it will live up to the legacy of its predecessors.
