Rockstar Games has confirmed that preorders for the highly anticipated Grand Theft Auto VI (GTA 6) will officially open on June 25, marking a major milestone in the lead-up to one of the most awaited video game releases in recent history.
The announcement gives fans their first opportunity to secure a copy of the game ahead of its scheduled launch on November 19, 2026. Alongside the preorder date, Rockstar also unveiled new cover artwork featuring protagonists Jason and Lucia, offering another glimpse of the duo before players return to the neon-lit streets of Vice City.

Pricing and Editions Still Under Wraps
While the preorder date has now been confirmed, Rockstar has yet to disclose key details surrounding the game’s pricing structure or available editions.
The company has not revealed whether GTA 6 will maintain the current industry-standard price of $70 for a base edition or introduce a higher launch price. The lack of information has fueled speculation among industry analysts and gaming enthusiasts alike.
Several market observers have previously suggested that GTA 6 could become one of the first major releases to push standard game pricing beyond current norms. Earlier projections from financial analysts indicated that an $80 launch price could set a new benchmark for premium video game releases, potentially influencing pricing strategies across the industry.
Special Editions Expected
Rockstar is also keeping details about collector’s and premium editions under wraps. However, based on the company’s history with major releases, fans expect multiple versions of the game to be offered.
Potential editions could include digital-exclusive content, in-game bonuses, collectible merchandise, art books, steelbook cases and other special items. Some premium packages may also include early access benefits or exclusive multiplayer content, though Rockstar has not confirmed any such plans.
Wishlist Options Already Available
Ahead of the preorder launch, players can already add GTA 6 to their wishlists on both PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S consoles. Doing so allows users to receive notifications when preorders become available through their preferred platform.
At present, Rockstar has not announced a PC release date, with the game currently scheduled only for Sony and Microsoft’s latest-generation consoles.
