The long wait is nearly over—Wistoria: Wand and Sword is officially returning for a second season in April 2026, accompanied by a brand-new teaser visual that has fans buzzing with anticipation.
The first season, based on the manga by Fujino Omori and Toshi Aoi, was produced by Actas and Bandai Namco Pictures, with Tatsuya Yoshihara (known for Black Clover) directing and handling series composition.
Character designs were crafted by Sayaka Ono (BASTARD!! -Heavy Metal, Dark Fantasy-), while the soundtrack was composed by Yuki Hayashi (My Hero Academia).
For Season 2, Yoshihara will step into a chief director role, while Hideaki Nakano, who worked as an episode director in the first season, takes over as series director.
The series is currently streaming on Crunchyroll, which describes the story as follows:
In a world ruled by magic, young Will Serfort struggles with a harsh reality—he can’t cast a single spell. Looked down upon by his classmates, Will hides a secret weapon: his extraordinary skill with the sword. Can strength and steel carry him where sorcery cannot?
With the promise of more action, intrigue, and sword-versus-magic battles, Season 2 is shaping up to be one of the big highlights of 2026.
