The Way Home — Hallmark Channel’s hit time-travel drama — officially made its Netflix debut in the United States on October 1, 2025, and has quickly climbed the platform’s Top 10 charts. With the show’s third season already aired on Hallmark, fans are eager to know when it will arrive on Netflix and what lies ahead for season four. Here’s everything we know so far.
If you haven’t watched it yet, The Way Home is widely regarded as one of Hallmark Channel’s finest series. Starring Chyler Leigh, Evan Williams, Sadie Laflamme-Snow, and Andie MacDowell, the show follows three generations of women who reunite and confront their family’s complicated past after the youngest makes a life-changing discovery.
Since landing on Netflix, the show has remained in the U.S. Top 10 every day, peaking at number six. As of now, no other regions have announced plans to stream it.
The Netflix release comes through a broader partnership between Hallmark Media and Netflix, which will bring several Hallmark movies and series to the service. Alongside The Way Home, the mystery film The Book Club Murders also premiered on October 1. Hallmark’s holiday movie lineup is set to roll out internationally on November 1, with more films expected to hit Netflix U.S. in January 2026.
Hallmark Media’s SVP and Head of Distribution, Jesse Wallace, said in a statement:
“We’re thrilled about the partnership with Netflix, which brings Hallmark’s critically acclaimed series The Way Home and our beloved romantic comedies to U.S. subscribers, along with holiday favorites for select international markets.”
When will The Way Home Season 3 arrive on Netflix?
As part of the Hallmark-Netflix partnership announcement, it was confirmed that Season 3 of The Way Home will premiere on Netflix in February 2026. While the exact date hasn’t been revealed, it’s expected to land early in the month.
Netflix is also expected to keep the series available through at least October 2027, with the license likely extending further as new seasons are released.
Season 3 originally aired on Hallmark Channel from January to March 2025, spanning ten episodes. The new chapter begins with the Landry women uncovering long-awaited answers, only for a shocking discovery to spark another search for the truth. New cast members include Julia Tomasone, Jordan Doww, and Devin Cesshetto, who portray younger versions of existing characters.
What about The Way Home Season 4?
Hallmark officially renewed The Way Home for a fourth season, slated for release in 2026. Filming began in mid-August 2025 in Scarborough, Ontario, and is expected to wrap by November 26, 2025.
In announcing the renewal, Hallmark praised the creative team, stating:
“Our talented writing staff, led by the mother-daughter showrunning duo Heather Conkie and Alexandra Clarke, continues to amaze us. Their rich storytelling—filled with family drama, romance, and emotional mystery—has captivated fans and turned The Way Home into must-see television.”
Currently, there’s no confirmation that Season 4 will arrive on Netflix, but it’s likely that the season will debut on Hallmark Channel and Hallmark+ first before making its way to the streaming giant later on.
