The FOX medical drama Doc was a surprise addition to Netflix in September 2025, and its first season has already made a strong impression. Fans are now wondering: will season 2 eventually hit Netflix? The answer appears to be yes, though it may take some time.
Netflix acquired the U.S. streaming rights to Doc through a deal with Sony Pictures Television, adding all 10 episodes of the first season on September 23, 2025. The show subsequently left Hulu, and as of now, Netflix has not picked up the series in other regions.
Despite being available only in the U.S., Doc quickly became a hit, appearing in the weekly Netflix English Top 10. Between September 21–28, 2025, it amassed 13.6 million hours watched, equivalent to about 1.9 million views, and currently ranks as the #2 show on Netflix.
Doc Season 2
Season 2 is already airing on FOX, with the premiere episode, “Her Heart,” debuting on September 14, 2025. The season features 22 episodes and introduces new cast members, including Felicity Huffman and Emma Pfitzer Price, with weekly episodes rolling out from September 30th.
While Netflix has not officially announced when season 2 will be available, it’s likely included under the two-year license for season 1, which runs until late September 2027. Speculation suggests that season 2 could arrive on Netflix around late September 2026, giving viewers a chance to catch up before the next season airs.
How to Watch Now
If you don’t want to wait for Netflix, season 2 is available to stream on Hulu or directly through FOX, providing catch-up options for eager fans.
