The first 2026 issue of Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump has revealed five additional cast members for the upcoming anime film Gekijōban Ansatsu Kyōshitsu: Minna no Jikan (Assassination Classroom the Movie: Everybody’s Time). The newly announced actors include:

  • Yūichirō Umehara as Seeker
  • Kappei Yamaguchi as Futoshi
  • Tetsu Inada as Sengoku
  • Kazuhiro Yamaji as Mario
  • Hiroki Tōchi as Chantha

They join previously confirmed new cast members:

  • Kikuko Inoue as Azusa
  • Mai Fuchigami as Hotaru (in addition to reprising her role as Nagisa)
  • Sayumi Suzushiro as Kaho Tsuchiya
  • Mai Kanazawa as Kokona Tagawa

All returning characters from the earlier TV anime will once again be voiced by their original cast members.

Production Staff and Release

The film is directed by Masaki Kitamura (After-School Hanako-kun, Gundam Evolve) at Lerche, the same studio behind the original anime. Makoto Uezu returns as the scriptwriter, and Aya Higami—who worked on After-School Hanako-kun—is handling character designs.

The movie is set to premiere in Japan on March 20, 2026, with Avex Film Labels distributing.

About the Film

This new project features a complete collection of story episodes that never made it into the original anime adaptations due to time limitations. Creator Yūsei Matsui stated that the film is more than a 10th-anniversary project—it also continues the main storyline.

Series Background

Assassination Classroom originally ran in Weekly Shonen Jump from 2012 to 2016. The manga inspired two TV anime seasons: a 22-episode run in 2015 and a 25-episode second season in 2016. A theatrical anime film followed in November 2016.

Toonami began airing season one in August 2020 and later added season two in 2022.

The franchise also includes two live-action films, released in Japan in March 2015 and March 2016.
