The Japanese Film Festival India (JFF) has revealed its upcoming screening schedule for three additional cities—Ahmedabad, Kochi, and Kolkata—continuing its multi-city tour across the country.
In Ahmedabad and Kochi, the festival will take place from January 9 to January 11. Screenings in Ahmedabad will be hosted at PVR Acropolis, while audiences in Kochi can attend the festival at PVR Lulu Mall.
Both cities will feature a screening of the landmark anime film Akira on January 10 at 11:00 a.m. IST. This will be followed by the live-action adaptation of Teasing Master Takagi-san on January 11 at 11:00 a.m. IST.
Kolkata will host the festival later in the month at PVR South City Mall. The anime classic Akira is scheduled to screen on January 24 at 11:00 a.m. IST, while Teasing Master Takagi-san will be shown on January 25 at 11:30 a.m. IST.
The newly announced dates follow earlier festival stops in Hyderabad and Pune from December 12 to December 14, and in Bengaluru and Mumbai from December 19 to December 21. With each leg of the tour, JFF continues its aim of bringing acclaimed Japanese cinema—both animated and live-action—to audiences across India.
Further details regarding tickets and additional screenings are expected to be announced closer to the event dates.
