It is no exaggeration to say that High Potential has emerged as one of the standout successes of the 2024–2025 television season. The crime drama, led by Kaitlin Olsen, returned for its second season to even stronger momentum, quickly reaffirming its status as a breakout hit on both broadcast television and streaming platforms.

Olsen stars as Morgan Gillory, a cleaner at an LAPD precinct whose exceptional intellect allows her to solve complex cases, ultimately earning her a role as a police consultant. The concept resonated strongly with audiences, and season two has continued that upward trajectory with confidence.

UK Popularity Mirrors US Success

Internationally, the show has found an equally enthusiastic audience, particularly in the UK, where it streams on Disney Plus. Episodes have consistently landed at the top of the platform’s daily Top 10 rankings following release, a notable achievement given the competition from high-profile series airing at the same time.

That success is even more striking considering the circumstances of the first season, when UK viewers had to wait weeks for episodes to arrive after their US broadcast on ABC. Despite the delays and competition from major genre releases, High Potential still managed to break through.

Improved Release Strategy for Season 2

One of the most welcomed changes for UK viewers is the updated release schedule. New episodes of High Potential season two now arrive on Disney Plus UK every Wednesday morning at 8:00 a.m. GMT, just hours after their Tuesday night US premiere. The near-simulcast approach marks a significant shift from season one and has been widely approved by fans.

After airing weekly from September through October, the series paused for its midseason break before returning in January. With the second half of the season now underway, Disney Plus UK has resumed its weekly rollout starting with episode eight.

  • Episode 15: February 25, 2026
  • Episode 16: March 4, 2026
  • Episode 17: March 11, 2026
  • Episode 18: March 18, 2026

The season is set to run for 18 episodes in total, with any changes to the US broadcast schedule expected to ripple through the international release plan.

A Ratings Success on Both TV and Streaming

In the US, High Potential has become one of the most-watched shows on television, combining strong same-day broadcast ratings with impressive streaming performance on Hulu and Disney Plus. Season one saw viewership climb steadily, growing from an initial audience of 3.59 million to nearly six million viewers per episode—an increasingly rare achievement in the modern TV landscape.

The series is based on the French-Belgian hit HPI and also stars Daniel Sunjata, Javicia Leslie, Deniz Akdeniz, and Judy Reyes. While ABC has not yet officially announced a third season, the show’s consistent performance and expanding audience make a renewal appear highly likely.

For UK viewers, the improved release schedule means they can now stay fully in sync with the conversation—just another sign that High Potential has become one of television’s most reliable success stories on both sides of the Atlantic.
