Arc Raiders is filled with a variety of bottled materials—antiseptics, crude explosives, and synthesised fuel—and most of them look similar enough to blend together. So when the game asks you to collect three laboratory reagents to upgrade your Explosives Station from level two to three, it’s not immediately obvious where to look or what you’re even trying to spot.
Laboratory reagents count as Medical items, but like cracked bioscanners and jammed medical kits, they’re some of the hardest resources to track down. After spending far too long hunting for them, here’s what actually works.
Where to Find Laboratory Reagents in Arc Raiders
The most reliable place to get laboratory reagents is the Hospital in Buried City. It’s the only dedicated Medical zone in the game right now, meaning the loot pool isn’t split across different categories. That gives it easily the highest chance of spawning the reagents you need—just be ready for a fight, because the area sees plenty of traffic.
You can find reagents in cabinets, drawers, and boxes, but don’t limit yourself to containers. They also appear as loose bottles sitting on countertops, medical carts, and chemical stands. If you focus only on storage containers, you’ll miss a lot of potential spawns, especially with how messy Medical areas tend to be.

Other strong locations
Buried City
- Research (right next to the Hospital) has multiple floors to search.
- Pharmacies at Plaza Rosa and Piazza Arbusto often contain Medical loot.
Dam Battlegrounds
- The Testing Annex mixes Medical and Commercial loot. The second floor has an especially good concentration of containers.
Stella Montis
- Extremely dangerous, but the Medical Research zone in the southwest is packed with racks and cabinets.
Gathering laboratory reagents—along with explosive compounds and Rocketeer drivers—for the final Explosives Station upgrade is a grind, but the payoff is huge. Once the station is maxed out, you’ll unlock Heavy Fuze Grenades and the mighty Wolfpacks, which can shred even the toughest Arc units, including the dreaded Matriarch.
