Urusei Yatsura Season 2 Episode 2 Release Date & Where To Watch

That first season 2 episode was a two-parter that felt like slipping on comfy old slippers. Ataru’s endless girl-chasing antics and Lum’s kooky, lovable possessiveness remain strong decades later. It’s that perfect blend of comedy and tenderness that Rumiko Takahashi has always delivered.

Since Urusei Yatsuratelling is a self-contained story, I’m betting episode 2 features Ataru causing Lum grief again with his pervy flirting. Of course, she zaps him with lightning! But in the end, we know they care for each other under the chaos.

Whether it’s a crazy new love triangle or Lum invading Ataru’s dreams – who knows what hijinks await! This episodic style leaves room for all kinds of hilarity. And I’ll be parked on the couch, ready to laugh and say, “Oh you two!” when Thursday morning rolls around.

It’s comforting to see some classics never change. Urusei Yatsura still brings the fun after all these years! Let’s keep reveling in Ataru and Lum’s endless cycle of farce and forgiveness.

What Happened in Urusei Yatsura Season 2 Episode 1

That first double episode pulled stories straight from Rumiko Takahashi’s original manga – perfect material!

In part one, Ataru gets a piece of “fantasy gum” from prankster buddy Jariten. It can bubble into anything you imagine! But Ataru mostly imagines girls, girls, and more half-naked girls, of course. Lum shocks him as usual.

Later, Lum gets bonked by a rice cooker during another Ataru vs Jariten fight. The hit leaves her able only to speak her alien language! Ataru sees a chance to chase Earth girls without Lum interfering.

While Lum disappears to her lab to work on something, Ataru starts to miss her, even if it means less babe-chasing. Eventually, she returns – but ignores him completely! That is until Ataru sincerely apologizes in a super sweet moment between the two.

Turns out Lum invented some artifact so Ataru can understand her language too! But he looks pretty goofy wearing it, and crowds start poking fun at the bizarre contraption stuck to him.

Vintage Lum and Ataru! Her inventions backfire while his lothario pursuits land him in the doghouse. But they bounce back to each other – our adorable couple!
More silly romantic escapades surely await in episode 2. I’m ready to laugh and melt as these two continue dancing their timeless dance!
