After more than a year of PlayStation and PC exclusivity, the Silent Hill 2 remake may finally be coming to Xbox. According to a report from TrueAchievements, the game briefly appeared on the Microsoft Store before being swiftly removed, suggesting a release could be imminent.
The listing reportedly pointed to a November 21st launch date, which aligns with the timing of previous leaks and recent activity surrounding the title. Earlier this month, the ESRB issued a new rating for Silent Hill 2, and Konami quietly updated the Bloober Team remake’s official website to reflect additional platforms.
60 FPS and Ray Tracing Support Expected
Before it was pulled, screenshots from the Microsoft Store page showed that the remake will support 60 FPS and ray tracing. It’s not yet clear whether these features will be available on both Xbox Series X|S and PC, or if they will be exclusive to one platform.
The store listing also confirmed that Silent Hill 2 will be released through the Microsoft Store on Xbox Series X|S and PC, although it’s unclear if the game will carry the Xbox Play Anywhere designation, which allows players to buy once and play across compatible devices.
No Word on “Born From a Wish” DLC — But a Bundle Is Mentioned
TrueAchievements notes that the backend listing made no reference to the classic Born From a Wish DLC from the original game. However, the remake may launch in a bundle alongside Silent Hill f, another upcoming entry in the franchise.
Possible Xbox Event Incoming
The timing of the leak has fueled speculation that Microsoft may be preparing an announcement event. Reports from Windows Central suggest that Xbox has multiple showcases planned, including an Xbox Partner Preview, which is expected later this month. Additionally, the company is rumoured to have a major presence at The Game Awards 2025, scheduled for December 11th.
If the November 21st date proves accurate, fans won’t have to wait much longer to revisit the foggy streets of Silent Hill — this time on Xbox.
