After nearly a two-year break, the master of disguise is officially making his return. Netflix has confirmed that Lupin will be back for a fourth season, sharing a behind-the-scenes teaser that kicks off production in Paris.
Fans last saw Omar Sy’s charismatic thief, Assane Diop—who channels the legendary Arsène Lupin—in Part 3, which premiered in October 2023. Since then, updates have been scarce, making this announcement all the more exciting for longtime viewers.
The upcoming season will feature eight episodes, each running around 45 minutes. Like previous seasons, the story continues to draw loose inspiration from Maurice Leblanc’s early 1900s tales of the gentleman burglar.
Netflix’s teaser offers a nostalgic look back, showing printed stills from previous seasons being held up against their real-life French locations. The short clip ends with a shot of the Eiffel Tower, panning in on Omar Sy mid-filming. He pauses, looks directly at the camera, and says, “Je suis de retour” — “I’m back.”

While there’s no official release date yet, the fact that filming has already begun suggests the new season could arrive by late 2025 or early 2026.

Omar Sy will be joined once again by returning cast members Ludivine Sagnier (Claire), Antoine Gouy (Benjamin), Soufiane Guerrab (Guedira), and Shirine Boutella (Belkacem). Two fresh faces will also enter the mix: Theo Christine (Infested) and Laika Blanc-Francard (The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon).
Reflecting on the show’s return, Sy shared:
“Lupin is an incredible playground—I have fun with it every time. With Netflix, Carrousel, and Gaumont, we’ve taken the time to aim higher and bring more surprises to both ourselves and the viewers. The energy from Carrousel Studios fits this vision perfectly. I can’t wait for people to see what’s next.”
One thing is certain: Lupin’s next chapter promises even more twists, charm, and Parisian intrigue.
