Borderlands 4 is almost here, bringing back the chaotic looter-shooter action that made the series famous. Expect bizarre weapons by the truckload, over-the-top enemies, and frantic co-op battles as you fight to escape a deadly hidden planet as one of four new Vault Hunters.
While Borderlands 3 refined gunplay, some players felt its story leaned too heavily on slapstick humor. With the launch of Borderlands 4 on September 12, 2025, Gearbox is promising a more grounded narrative without losing the franchise’s trademark personality.
