Arc Raiders Patch Fixes Door Glitch by Literally Cooking Cheaters Alive

A few weeks back, players uncovered a handful of glitches that let them slip into locked rooms in Arc Raiders—either by shoving a barricade through a doorway in solo play or by hopping onto a teammate’s head in squads. Those shortcuts didn’t last long. The latest update has officially shut them down.

According to the developers, “a very hot fix” has been deployed to stop the exploit. And they mean “hot” literally. Every locked room on every map now comes equipped with flamethrowers that activate when someone enters illegitimately. Anyone who manages to clip or shove their way inside gets roasted instantly.

One player, Scrappy, decided to test the new system and forced their way through a door anyway. The moment they appeared inside, a wall of fire blasted out from multiple flamethrowers. They didn’t make it back out. Subtle? No. Effective? Absolutely.

The patch also closed off another popular exploit: the gun quick-swap trick. The developers call it a small fix, but it’s one that many players will miss. The glitch let you pull off rapid-fire combos—like a double-pump shotgun burst—that completely changed the pace of a fight.

That mechanic is gone now. You can still swap weapons instead of reloading to stay aggressive, but you won’t be able to boost your fire rate beyond what the guns naturally offer.

On top of the fixes, the update introduces a new Stella Montis modifier: a full night raid. The map was already dark enough that it practically looked like night half the time, but this new version pushes the tension even further. Anyone brave enough to try it is in for an even more nerve-wracking run.
