Arc Raiders Faces Fresh Duplication Concerns as Players Report Unusual Loot Finds

Exploits and unintended glitches are almost unavoidable in online games, but a new issue emerging in Arc Raiders has begun to worry its community. Players are increasingly reporting encounters with enemies carrying improbably large quantities of rare items, suggesting that a loot duplication exploit may be circulating within the extraction shooter.

The first signs surfaced on the game’s subreddit, where players began sharing screenshots of defeated raiders holding excessive numbers of identical blueprints. One widely discussed post showed a fallen player carrying 22 Tempest blueprints, an amount far beyond what normal gameplay would reasonably allow. Similar reports followed, including another case in which a player was found with 17 copies of the same blueprint.

The most striking example, however, involved a raider discovered with 12 identical “familiar ducks” in their inventory. These items are classified as Epic rarity, and players note that encountering even a single one during a match is uncommon. Finding a dozen on a single character has fueled strong suspicion that the items were not obtained through legitimate means.

Community reactions have ranged from humour to genuine concern. While some players joked that the duck hoarder could be heard “squeaking” across the map, others warned that unchecked duplication could undermine the game’s progression system.

If rare loot can be endlessly copied, many fear that the sense of risk and reward central to Arc Raiders could quickly erode.

“If this becomes widespread, it’s going to ruin the experience for everyone,” one player wrote, echoing a sentiment shared across multiple discussion threads.

Speculation about how the exploit works has begun to circulate, though the methods described by players appear complex and inefficient. Even so, the existence of duplicated items alone raises red flags about the game’s backend systems.

Developer Embark Studios has already addressed and fixed two similar duplication-related issues earlier this month, which gives some reassurance to the community. Many believe the studio is already tracking abnormal inventory patterns and working to identify the precise cause before deploying a fix.

For now, players are advised not to rely on suspiciously acquired loot. If past responses are any indication, Embark is unlikely to let duplicated blueprints—or backpacks full of rare ducks—remain part of the game for long.
