Grey’s Anatomy is officially returning for its record-breaking twenty-second season on ABC—a milestone few shows have ever reached. The hit medical drama will also continue streaming on Netflix in both the United States and Canada. But the big question for fans is: when will season 22 arrive on Netflix?
Created by Shonda Rhimes, Grey’s Anatomy marked its 20th anniversary earlier this year. Over two decades, the series has captivated audiences with its mix of emotional storytelling and high-stakes hospital drama, following the lives of surgical interns, residents, and attendings at the iconic Grey Sloan Memorial Hospital (formerly Seattle Grace). There are some notable cast shifts this year: Jake Borelli and Midori Francis are no longer series regulars, while Ellen Pompeo continues in her reduced role, providing narration and appearing in seven episodes. That leaves Chandra Wilson and James Pickens Jr. as the only original cast members who remain in every episode.

When will Grey’s Anatomy season 22 be on Netflix US?
Netflix has carried Grey’s Anatomy for over a decade, with new seasons arriving every summer. Here’s when recent seasons dropped in the US:

What about Netflix Canada?
Canada is the only other country where Grey’s Anatomy streams on Netflix. However, release dates usually lag behind the US by several months. For example, season 21 will be released on Netflix Canada on October 9, 2025—the same day it premieres on ABC. Following that trend, Canadian viewers can expect season 22 to arrive in fall 2026.
