Tides of Annihilation turned heads earlier this year when it debuted during a State of Play showcase, and today it returned with a fresh look during the Xbox Partner Preview. The new trailer delivers four minutes of fast, flashy combat that highlights what Eclipse Glow Games is building.
The action RPG draws inspiration from Arthurian myth, but places its story in a fractured, supernatural version of London. Players step into the role of Gwendolyn, who fights alongside spectral knights as she struggles to protect her family and rebuild a world that has fallen apart.

The role is performed by Jennifer English, whose career has been on a remarkable rise. After breaking out as Shadowheart in Baldur’s Gate 3 in 2023, she recently earned a Game Awards nomination for her performance as Maelle in Clair Obscur: Expedition 33. We’ll learn whether she takes home this year’s award at The Game Awards on 11 December.
This new trailer offers our second real look at Tides of Annihilation, centring on a major boss encounter. Gwendolyn—assisted by the knight Lamorak—faces off against a towering demi-god called Tyranoe. Players can switch between both characters and make use of a mirror-realm shifting mechanic that adds an extra layer to combat.
“We’ve built a world that reimagines Arthurian legend, weaving themes of courage, loyalty, and heroism into an epic story set in a strange but familiar landscape,” said Kun Fu, lead producer at Eclipse Glow Games. “We’re excited to reveal the next chapter of Gwendolyn’s journey—and this is just the beginning.”
Release Platforms and Launch Details
Tides of Annihilation is confirmed for Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 5, and PC through both Steam and the Epic Games Store. The Xbox version will support Xbox Play Anywhere, letting players who own it on console access it on compatible PC platforms as well—a welcome move from a third-party studio.
One thing still missing is a release window. Eclipse Glow Games hasn’t yet announced a date or a launch year, although anticipation is already building. With excitement growing, Tides of Annihilation is shaping up to be a title worth watching as we move toward 2026 and beyond.
