About Strobe Edge
Originally serialized in Bessatsu Margaret between 2007 and 2010, Strobe Edge is one of Sakisaka’s most beloved works. Viz Media has released the manga in English, describing the story as follows:
“What is love, anyway? Ninako Kinoshita’s friends tell her it’s one thing, but Ninako wonders what this mysterious feeling really is. When she meets Ren Ichinose, a handsome, enigmatic guy who all the girls admire, her life takes an unexpected turn. With just a few words and a smile, he changes her world…”
The manga previously inspired a live-action film starring Sōta Fukushi and Kasumi Arimura, which debuted in Japanese theaters in March 2015.
Given the success of Blue Spring Ride’s television adaptation and WOWOW’s decision to spread Strobe Edge across two seasons, fans can expect a faithful retelling of Sakisaka’s coming-of-age romance. With its October 31 debut, the series is set to rekindle interest in the manga while appealing to both longtime readers and newcomers alike.
