The hunt for Yukon gold is heating up once again. Gold Rush is back for its sixteenth season, kicking off Friday, November 7, at 8/7c on the Discovery Channel. With gold prices at record highs, this year promises the richest haul yet, with miners projected to pull in a staggering $100 million in gold.

Returning to the dirt are Parker Schnabel, Tony Beets, and Rick Ness, each facing a high-pressure season with only a few short months to dig, haul, and strike it big. Discovery teases a “cutthroat scramble” filled with shifting alliances, family drama, and fortunes on the line.
- Parker Schnabel is determined to bounce back after last year’s rough run. Running four wash plants, more than 60 machines, and a new team setup, he’s spending over $100,000 a day to get back on top.
- Tony Beets, the self-styled “King of the Klondike,” is chasing an even bigger score after last year’s record season. An early $500,000 strike fuels his momentum, but internal setbacks and crew shakeups threaten to derail his plans.
- Rick Ness starts this year at a disadvantage—no water license, no claim, and only half a team. Taking a gamble on new ground, he faces mounting pressure to turn things around before he loses it all.
The new trailer sets the tone with a voiceover: “In the wild Yukon, you’re only as big as your dreams. But dreams can only take you so far—you’ve got to tame the land, work hard, and rise above to become bigger than your dreams.”
With tensions running high and the promise of the largest payday in the show’s history, Season 16 is shaping up to be one of the most dramatic yet.
Gold Rush, Season 16, premieres Friday, November 7 at 8/7c on Discovery.
