Rosamund Pike, known for her sharp and emotionally intense performances, is set to begin filming a new Netflix series titled God Mode—also referred to as Thumblite—next year.

The production will take place across New York and New Jersey from February 17 to June 15, 2026, turning the East Coast into a stand-in for the world of Silicon Valley. The show is written by Scott Z. Burns, who also created the project, alongside K.C. Perry, who will take on showrunning duties.

Set in the high-stakes tech world, God Mode explores the fierce rivalries, ambition, and power struggles that define the people shaping modern technology. It dives into how visionaries and manipulators alike fight for dominance in an industry that touches every part of our lives.

At the heart of it all is Pike’s character — a woman whose intelligence and drive place her right in the middle of this tense and cutthroat environment.

Pike has built an impressive career portraying characters with psychological depth and quiet menace. Her recent roles include Elspeth Catton in the dark drama Saltburn, Marla Grayson in Netflix’s I Care a Lot, and Marie Curie in the biopic Radioactive.

On television, she’s best known for playing Moiraine Damodred in Amazon’s fantasy epic The Wheel of Time and Louise in the SundanceTV series State of the Union. Audiences will next see her in Babak Anvari’s thriller Hallow Road, where she stars opposite Matthew Rhys as a mother thrown into a frantic night after her daughter calls to confess involvement in a fatal car crash.

New York continues to be a hub for major productions, with upcoming projects including Apple TV+’s drama series I’m Glad My Mom Died starring Jennifer Aniston, the action film Breaking The Empire State featuring Gerard Butler, and the long-awaited sequel The Devil Wears Prada 2.

Across the Hudson, New Jersey is also gearing up for a packed schedule with the heist thriller Here Comes the Flood starring Robert Pattinson and Denzel Washington, Netflix’s biographical drama Fight For ’84 featuring Jamie Foxx, and the crime drama Paper Tiger starring Adam Driver and Scarlett Johansson.

With God Mode, Pike once again steps into the kind of layered, thought-provoking role that has defined her career — this time set against the sleek and dangerous world of modern technology, where innovation and manipulation walk hand in hand.
