With Battlefield 6 gearing up for its release on October 10, 2025, Battlefield Studios has officially shared the game’s PC requirements, console performance targets, and a few important Windows security settings that players should check before launch.

Here’s everything you need to know before jumping into the chaos.

PC Requirements

The minimum and recommended specs for Battlefield 6 give players a clear idea of what kind of performance to expect across different resolutions and frame rates.

Minimum Specs (1080p @ 30 FPS, Low Settings)

  • GPU: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2060 / AMD Radeon RX 5600 XT / Intel Arc A380
  • CPU: Intel Core i5-8400 / AMD Ryzen 5 2600
  • RAM: 16 GB
  • Storage: 55 GB HDD (SSD highly recommended)

This setup should allow budget gamers to enjoy the game at 1080p, albeit at lower settings.

Battlefield 6 Official Requirements

Recommended Specs (1080p @ 80 FPS or 1440p @ 60 FPS, High Settings)

  • GPU: GeForce RTX 3060 Ti / Radeon RX 6700 XT / Intel Arc B580
  • CPU: Intel Core i7-10700 / AMD Ryzen 7 3700X
  • RAM: 16 GB

With this configuration, you can expect smooth gameplay at 1440p with high settings or fast frame rates at 1080p on lower presets.

Ultra Specs (4K @ 60 FPS or 1440p @ 144 FPS)

  • GPU: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4080 / AMD Radeon RX 7900 XTX
  • CPU: Intel Core i9-12900K / AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D
  • RAM: 32 GB

To hit 4K resolution or high refresh rates at 1440p, you’ll need a serious setup. Battlefield Studios warns that the jump from high to ultra performance is substantial.

Console Performance Targets

EA has also revealed how Battlefield 6 performs across different console models:

Xbox

  • Series S: 1080p @ 60 FPS
  • Series X (Fidelity Mode): 1440p @ 60 FPS
  • Series X (Performance Mode): 1280p @ 80 FPS

PlayStation

  • PS5 (Fidelity Mode): 1440p @ 60 FPS
  • PS5 (Performance Mode): 1280p @ 80 FPS
  • PS5 Pro (Fidelity Mode): 2160p @ 60 FPS
  • PS5 Pro (Performance Mode): 1620p @ 80 FPS

Software and Security Requirements

Beyond hardware, Battlefield 6 also depends on several Windows security features to support EA’s new Javelin kernel-level anti-cheat system.

While some of these features aren’t strictly mandatory, enabling them ensures better performance and fewer issues at launch.

Hypervisor-Protected Code Integrity (HVCI)

Your PC should be HVCI-capable, though it’s not mandatory to run the game. Enabling this feature is highly recommended to ensure compatibility and stability with the anti-cheat system.

To turn it on:

  1. Search for “Core Isolation” in the Windows Start Menu.
  2. Open the settings and enable Memory Integrity.

This helps protect critical system components from malware or unauthorised access.

Secure Boot and TPM 2.0

Both Secure Boot and TPM 2.0 play a key role in verifying system integrity before Windows starts. Battlefield 6 requires Secure Boot to be enabled to prevent rootkits or unauthorised firmware tampering.

TPM 2.0 (Trusted Platform Module) adds another layer of protection by securely storing cryptographic keys and ensuring your system hasn’t been modified at a hardware level.

To check if these features are active:

  • In Steam, go to Help → System Information.
  • Or press CTRL + R, type msinfo32, and hit Enter.

Look for Secure Boot State and TPM Version in the results.

If they’re disabled, you’ll need to enter your system’s BIOS to activate them. (Refer to your motherboard manual for specific instructions.)

Virtualisation-Based Security (VBS)

VBS adds another protective layer, running parts of Windows in a secure virtual environment to isolate sensitive processes — another feature that helps EA’s anti-cheat system verify your PC’s integrity.

You can check if it’s enabled using the same msinfo32 command.

Why These Settings Matter

All of these security options work together to ensure your system isn’t compromised, helping Battlefield 6 run smoothly while minimising cheating risks.

Even if some aren’t strictly required, EA strongly recommends enabling all of them for the most stable and secure gameplay experience.

Battlefield 6 Release Details

Battlefield 6 launches worldwide on October 10, 2025, and will be available on EA App, Steam, and the Epic Games Store.

So whether you’re fighting across 4K battlefields or holding the line on a budget rig, now’s the time to prep your system for the ultimate large-scale warfare experience.
