Prime Video is wasting no time bringing Neagley back.
The Reacher spinoff starring Maria Sten has officially been renewed for Season 2, just two weeks after all eight episodes of its first season premiered on the streaming service.
The renewal comes after a major opening run for the action thriller, which has quickly established itself as another successful entry in the Reacher universe.
Neagley Reaches 40 Million Viewers

Prime Video says Neagley attracted 40 million viewers worldwide within its first 13 days.
The series also became the platform’s fourth-biggest original series debut, while entering the Top 10 among Prime Video’s most-watched seasons.
The show’s international audience has also been significant. Prime Video revealed that 52% of its viewers are outside the United States, with the United Kingdom, Germany and Brazil ranking among its biggest international markets.
Those numbers give Prime Video a strong reason to continue expanding the spinoff.
Maria Sten’s Neagley Finds Her Own Story
Sten reprises her role as Frances Neagley, the character first introduced in Reacher.
The spinoff follows Neagley as she works as a private investigator in Chicago. After the death of a childhood friend, she discovers evidence suggesting that his death may be connected to a larger conspiracy involving a pharmaceutical company and a black-market operation hidden behind an apparent commune.
The first season also stars Greyston Holt, Adeline Rudolph and Damon Herriman.
The series received strong reviews from both critics and viewers. Its Rotten Tomatoes critics score reached 94% Certified Fresh, matching Reacher Season 4 and surpassing the original show’s 92% score for its first season.
Neagley also posted an 84% audience score, marking a notable improvement over several recent Reacher seasons.
Season 1 Leaves Neagley’s Story Open
The first season’s finale also created a natural path for the story to continue.
After exposing the Echo Canyon operation and defeating the mob boss behind it, Neagley reopened her detective agency. She brought Hudson, Keno and Renee into the organisation, giving her a team that could form the foundation for future cases.
The finale also delivered an important character moment when Reacher appeared unexpectedly.
During the encounter, Neagley shook Reacher’s hand, suggesting that she had made progress with her long-standing haphephobia.
Will Reacher Return in Season 2?
One of the biggest questions surrounding the second season is how closely it will connect to the main Reacher series.
Alan Ritchson appeared only briefly during Season 1, but the larger franchise continues to expand. Reacher has already been renewed for a sixth season, giving Prime Video more opportunities to connect the two shows.
Whether Ritchson receives a larger role in Neagley Season 2 remains unknown.
The release strategy is another open question.
Prime Video released all eight episodes of Neagley Season 1 simultaneously, allowing viewers to binge the entire story. The platform used a similar approach for the first season of Reacher before switching to weekly releases for later seasons.
Given the strong performance of Neagley‘s full-season launch, Prime Video could decide to continue with the same model, although no Season 2 release schedule has been announced yet.
