Last time, Bakugo managed to save All Might from certain death. Sir Nighteye, who can see the future, told All Might that his fate had been changed thanks to Bakugo’s actions. Edgeshot helped, too, by holding All Might’s body together while Bakugo brought him back.
To support Bakugo’s injured arm, All Might gave the boy one of his gauntlets. Now Bakugo and All for One were ready to face off against each other.
We all expected Chapter 406 of My Hero Academia to show Bakugo battling All for One. Instead, today’s spoilers showed us updates on other fights and revealed more about how Bakugo is awakening his Quirk’s full power. The big Bakugo versus All for One showdown will have to wait for another chapter!
My Hero Academia Chapter 406 Spoilers
The new My Hero Academia chapter is “Understand Your Own Quirk”.
It starts by checking in on other battles happening around the city. The fights at the hospital and island are over, with the heroes capturing Skeptic. Civilians have been evacuated, too. Aoyama and Hagakure are freeing heroes trapped by vines. But some battles are still ongoing, like against Gigantomachia. Aizawa and Present Mic’s location is unknown after being taken by Kurogiri.

We see a quick shot of Lady Nagant, still injured on a rooftop. She calls out for Deku, saying he’s the only hope left.
Then we go to All Might, impressed by Bakugo’s speed. Edgeshot explains that Bakugo unlocked incredible speed when he temporarily died and is figuring out how to control it.
All for One is furious but wants to get to Shigaraki over killing Bakugo. Shigaraki thinks he can “break” Bakugo again. Deku struggles to fight Shigaraki, unable to counter his regeneration and decay powers. Deku decides to use his last Gear Shift despite the risks.
All for One reminds himself not to regress to fighting “a nobody” like Bakugo. But Bakugo realizes his sweat causes him pain that fuels his explosions. By channeling the pain into speed, he unlocks unbelievable new levels.
We see Bakugo’s parents watching, with his mom saying they must support their smiling son.
All for One is enraged by Bakugo, realizing he reminds him of the 2nd OFA user. A flashback shows the 2nd user blaming All for One for his friend Yoichi’s death. All for One yell, “It’s all your fault, Kudo!” thinking Bakugo is him. But Bakugo declares, “I’m not Kudo, I’m Kacchan of the Bakugos!”

The chapter shows Bakugo unlocking more of his Quirk’s potential through understanding his powers. The big fights are still raging on!
