The new saga of the Dragon Ball Super manga, titled “Super Hero,” takes place within the events of Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero. This saga focuses on Goten and Trunks while Goku and Vegeta return to Beerus’ planet to continue their training.
Following their battle against Gas on the Cereal Planet, Goku and Vegeta find themselves defeated by the mighty Black Frieza. Determined to overcome the villain’s new transformation, they head back to Beerus’ planet to intensify their training.
Meanwhile, on Earth, a thrilling new story unfolds as Trunks and Goten lead double lives as students who possess the ability to transform into superheroes.
The original work, Dragon Ball, was first introduced in 1984 and was created by Akira Toriyama, who had previously achieved success in Japan with Dr. Slump (also published by Panini). Drawing inspiration from the Chinese tale Journey to the West, the story initially revolves around Goku, a young boy with incredible strength and a monkey’s tail, who has lived in seclusion from humanity. Everything changes when he meets Bulma, an adventurous girl on a quest to find the legendary Dragon Balls.
Together, Goku and Bulma embark on a journey to collect all seven Dragon Balls, which, when brought together, have the power to grant any wish.
